Those who need help planning funeral services for a loved one or who need support during the grieving process
The Bereavement Ministry has two sub-groups. The Care and Comfort Committee specializes in assisting families, caregivers, and friends through the difficult task of making final preparations for their loved ones. When someone needs to hold a funeral service at Metro, a Care and Comfort Committee member will be assigned and will help to make all the necessary arrangements for a dignified and respectful service. This committee aims to provide for church members and friends, compassionate, thoughtful, and thorough attention.
The Grief Ministry is a support group that helps members through the process of grieving. Losing someone to death is an extremely painful experience that can include feelings of anger, guilt or depression. Our Grief Ministry leaders, who also have experienced the loss of close relatives and friends, are skilled at providing support, coping tools, and professional resources necessary to help the bereaved on the path to recovery.
