Confused about whether church is for you? In this time of social distancing when you just can't go to a traditional church service - this might be the best time to figure that out. Our young adult ministry - F.L.O.W. - invites you to series of conversations around purpose, calling, involvement, resources, community, worship and relationships. We have an exciting lineup of speakers: Novella Smith, Richard Martin, Gerard Limerick, Rob Harris, SaMonna Watts and Michael Kelly.
We will meet online every night, April 12 through April 17, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. - go here to join. The speaker will present and there will be time for Q&A. On Saturday, April 18, Michael Kelly will speak at 11:45 a.m., then we will have a live chat from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
When we were planning this (before shelter in place and no gatherings of more than 10 people), we were going to host the Wednesday night program at the Hyattsville Busboys & Poets location. Even though we're self-isolating, if it's financially feasible for you, we encourage you to treat yourself to dinner from a local Busboys & Poets - you'll help to support a local business. Take a selfie of yourself and your meal and post it using the hashtags #churchornah and #virtualbusboysandpoets - we'll be able to have our meal together virtually!
