Know Fear: Defeat Your Enemy. Achieve Your Goals.

Written by Melissa Andrews.

Ladies, two years ago Congresswoman Donna Edwards and a stellar panel were hosted at Metro and talked about overcoming fears. Many of us defer our goals and dreams because we're scared we're not qualified enough, or we don't have the correct skillset, or we're not smart enough.  Sometimes bad things happen in our lives and they leave us paralyzed, unable to move forward.  Bottom line?  Fear overwhelms us.  The good news is - it doesn't have to be this way!

As we celebrate Women's History Month, we invite you to attend Know Fear 2017, featuring Fox45 Baltimore News host Chardelle Moore, Metro’s own Dionne Latouche (breast cancer survivor), Erika Singletary (founder of a $5 million PR business), and Sherry Fox (named one of the top lawyers in Virginia).  These ladies will share how they overcame their fears and insecurities, moved forward and did what needed to be done.

Plan to attend onMarch 11th at 6:00 p.m., and bring a friend!

Overview The objective of our Beyond the Walls day of service in this first quarter of 2017 is to concentrate our efforts on a just a few impactful, large-group outreach projects. Unlike past Beyond the Walls programs, on March 4 there will only be 5 service opportunities for members to participate in. These activities have been specifically designed to accommodate large groups and provide members the option of directly interacting with members of our community or playing a more “behind the scenes” service role. Most importantly our mission to pray, love, and serve will come to life in each project.
