Metro is a multi-cultural church and we are celebrating this diversity with an international weekend on September 7 and 8.  Both worship services (9:10 and 11:45am) will have an international flair; Pastor Kinlock will speak for both services.  At 5:00pm on the 7th, enjoy a concert featuring different genres of music.  The excitement continues on Sunday, September 8 when we host the Metro Marketplace - a day of activities for the entire family, including of course, mouth-watering international delicacies for purchase.

If you're interested in being a vendor at the Market Place or just need general information about the event, call 301-910-7225 or 301-853-2224.  See you there, and bring a friend!

Summer is winding down:  school supplies are on sale, summer camps are closing, the weather is hot, hot, hot!  This can only mean one thing - September is around the corner!  And we are pleased to invite you to a special series of sermons Pastor Kinlock will preach:  Daniel - Unsealing the Prophecies.  If you've never truly understood the book of Daniel, or need a refresher - this series is for you!  We encourage you to bring a friend or family member to church with you so they too can benefit from the series.

On September 7, as we kick off the series, we have our International Day celebration.  The morning services will have an international flair, and we host a "spicy" concert at 5:30 p.m. that afternoon.  Join us for the Metro Marketplace on Sunday, September 8 at 11:00 a.m.  Enjoy a mouth-watering variety of international delicacies for sale, as well as fun activities for the entire family.

On September 21, Stellar Award winner Maurette Brown Clark will be with us for the 11:45 a.m. service as our guest psalmist.  You don't want to miss this powerful worship experience!

We invite you to our second annual community block party!  The fun takes place on Tuesday, August 6, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Riggs La Salle Community Center (501 Riggs Rd NE).  We'll have free food (of course!), a DJ, lots of games and activities for young people, and free school supplies and haircuts!  We encourage you to tell your friends about this.

We can use your help!  You can volunteer to help during the block party, or you can make donations of school supplies or funds to help defray costs.  See Pastor Smith for all the details!
