We're Hosting a Community Block Party!

Earlier this year, Pastor Smith hosted a series of classes at the Riggs - LaSalle Community Center, just down the road from the church at 501 Riggs Rd NE.  The young people enjoyed the classes so much that we're hosting a block party for the community, as part of our Teens4G Week of Prayer.  The fun takes place on Friday, August 10 at 2:30pm.

The event will be hosted by DJ Ablaze from Ablazin' Radio.  We'll have a "Battle of the DJs" - as local DJs battle it out for the title:  Block Party DJ 2018!  There will be face painting, moonbounces, games, free hair cuts, free school supplies and lots of other giveaways!  You don't want to miss this community event.

If you'd like to volunteer, please contact Pastor Smith.  For additional details or questions about the block party, please call the church office:  301-853-2224.

We have an exciting week of events planned for our teens (and anyone else who wants to attend, of course!) - starting Saturday, August 4.  Pastor Michelle Mota is the guest speaker for this year's Teens4G week of prayer.  She kicks things off at our 11:45 a.m. service on August 4, which we follow up with our annual DMV Youth Gospel Choir concert at 6:00 p.m. that evening.  Get your tickets here, and continue reading for the rest of the week's activities - there are a ton!

mindsets prayer meeting 1920

We invite you to join us for prayer meeting during our third quarter as we discuss the theme Mindsets.  We will be focusing on Christ and His mindset as described in Philippians 2:5 - Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (KJV).  Enjoy interactive and stimulating presentations that will help to enrich your prayer life and strengthen your walk with Christ.  We meet on Wednesdays at 7pm.  Bring the entire family along - there are prayer meeting groups for children (12 and under) and  teens!
