VBS 2012: A Recap

On the first night of VBS we had about 50 kids attend.  By the second night that number had grown to about 65!  Each night the kids and the counselors would gather with Valrie Applewhite, Jasmin Crossfield, Latéy Bradford and little Jordan Sam as they led us all in the theme song and taught new songs. The theme song was a hit as the chorus of the song has each group run around in a circle!

After that the tribes (classes) met with their tribe leaders (counselors) on their tribe blankets to learn the nightly Bible verse, meet new tribe members and learn of the adventures for the day! Of course everyone  - tribe members and counselors - was dressed in Babylonia gear from head to toe!

Each night the tribes visited the Marketplace to do crafts, Daniel's Room to learn about Daniel and his adventures in Babylon and the Palace Playground where Michael Drakes, Jermey Matthews, Johann Andrews, Jason Alexis and others took them on a royal playing adventure!

Everyone who attended, who participated, and who visited had a blast.  This year's VBS was truly amazing.

We'd like to thank Dawn Peters for attempting to capture the experience with her camera.  Click the play button below to watch the video.
