tn TrueReligionGenes tTrue religion makes its headquarters in the heart of every Christ follower.  It was modeled by Jesus with the intention of redefining religion through an emphasis on compassion, sacrifice and good deeds. Over two millennia later, although the concept of religion has come to refer to a set of systems, creeds and rites, pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this:  to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction.

Compassion, sacrifice and good deeds made up the DNA of the early church. Consider this quote:

Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.... And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

As a member of the family of Christianity, as a son or daughter of God, is this the type of religion that's flowing in your genes?  Have the cares of this world diluted the gene pool so that our religion is watered down and unrecognizable?   Join us on Saturday, October 5 at 11:00 a.m. as Pastor Johns preaches True Religion Genes: God-made, superior genes to appeal to all mankind.

new-journeyMany of you may not be aware, but one of the things Pastor Johns does in his spare time is function as the host of a 3ABN / Dare to Dream Network program called The New Journey.  The New Journey shows how encounters with Jesus can turn people's lives around, often in dramatic, unexpected ways.  Many of the participants have spent time in prison.  Others have experienced significant hardship in their lives.

tn stranger-thingsWe typically find ourselves embroiled in deep discussions - even arguments - with people of our own faith family about church reform. In these strange days, how about instead of arguing about how church culture is and what it needs, we work on CREATING culture?  Strange Days call for us to do Strange Things...Let's rediscover the Gospel instead of focusing on worship style.  Let's become such a light in this community that if we left town, we’d be sorely missed.
