tn kisha ipad winnerKisha Johnson knew she wanted to win something at AirBorn.  She came reallly close on opening night - the giveaway went to the person whose birthday was closest to that date - July 28.  "Kish" - as she's affectionately called by family and friends - stood up excitedly.  Her birthday had been July 21.  The presenter was about to give Kisha the prize, when the audience pointed out another guy she (the presenter) hadn't seen. Turned out his birthday was July 27 and he got the prize.

On the second night, when Marvin Sapp performed, and Dr. Byrd did an amazing 10-minute slam-dunk-of-a-sermon on the second coming, it was announced that one of the two iPads available for giveaway during the series would be given away on Monday night.  Kisha decided to take her desire straight to the Giver of all good gifts.  She prayed a very specific prayer on Monday morning.  "Lord," she said, "if You want me to move to Maryland [she's been considering this], and if You want me to come to Metropolitan as my home church, AND [she must have been familiar with the story of Abraham praying to save Lot, or Gideon switching up on the wet and dry fleece] if You want me to become Adventist, let me win this iPad tonight." careful what you ask for!  Kisha's phone number was chosen randomly from the list of about 600 people who texted in to be considered as recipients for the iPad.

The last iPad will be given away this evening.  We hope you'll come out, because even if you don't win the iPad, you'll receive a wonderful blessing from hearing Dr. Byrd.  He's been amazing, fantastic, absolutely wonderful as he's shared powerful truths from God's Word with us.  See you at 7 this evening!

August 5:  We wanted to update this article to let you know that Kisha was baptized on Sabbath, August 4!  Bargain kept.
