Person Driven Life - The Recap

A Person Driven Life std rejoice t fbDear members:

We've come to the end of our Person Driven Life series.  We have spent the past 13 weeks studying about Jesus as we’ve read the book Steps to Christ.  We formed a “Search Party” to see what we could learn about Him.  We learned how to prepare and give a three-word, six-sentence personal testimony.  We attended a “Sinners Anonymous” meeting and learned that we all have a need for Christ.  We experienced the power of sackcloth and ashes. We recognized the need for true repentance as Elrey prayed – “Lord, be merciful to me, a sinner”.

We had an awesome consecration service – where we separated into various rooms of the church to pray over our relationships, health, finances and other life issues, and had the opportunity for anointing from the pastors.  We heard Michelle testify about faith and acceptance while she dealt with doubt, divorce and death.  Pastor B dressed up as a beauty contestant and sashayed across the stage to teach us about discipleship.  Pastor Johns donned gardening attire, preached behind a picket fence (while you sat at the edges of your seats ground-rulesand wondered if it would collapse) and told us what we need to grow in Christ.

We celebrated work and life with a communion service – reflecting on the greatest act of service demonstrated to humanity – Jesus’ death for our sins.  We had an in-house artist paint “the big picture” – to help us get a better knowledge of God.  We listened and cheered with our members – Rashad, Sherrano and Kisha – as they shared their miraculous answers to prayer – prayers that we made as a church family!  Pastor Johns introduced us to our twin – Doubting Thomas – and explained how we’d been separated at birth.

This series was not meant to entertain you, but to help you develop a closer relationship with Christ.  Have you? We've pulled some pictures from the series and have shared them below.  We hope that as you look at them, you reflect again on the message from the particular sermon.

If, over the course of the series (or if you want to do it right now) – you prepared your three-word, six-sentence testimony – we’d love to share it with our church and internet family.  Email it to This email address is being protected from spambots.
