tn SeabrookTNTMetroSDAPray, love and serve with us July 27 at Franklin Square Park as we join forces with Seabrook's Twenties and Thirties Ministry (TNT) in serving and ministering to our community.

After the 11 am service at Metro, we will travel to Franklin Park where we will serve the homeless population.  We will provide meals, give away clothes, distribute tracts and toiletries and offer prayer.  There will also be basic health screening stations available to the general public.

At 5:30pm, there will be a free summer gospel showcase.  Everyone is welcome! Bring a blanket and a friend (or two), sit back and enjoy puppetry, spoken word, singing, musical performances, drum corps, and a vesper thought.  Some of our own praise and worship singers, and Metro Praiz, will be a part of the concert.  Remember to wear your "Metro Church"  t-shirts!  Franklin Park is located between 14th & 13th and K & I Streets, NW Washington, DC; directions will be provided.

Interested in helping?  If you're a health care professional, we need you to help with the screenings.  We need volunteers to help with simple cooking (food will be provided).  At the park, we'll need members to distribute meals, toiletries and tracts, pray with our guests, assist at the clothes station, and help with set up and clean up.  Meals will be provided for those volunteers who join us right after service.  You can also donate bar soap (preferably Irish Spring) and spring / summer clothes.  Donated items can be placed in the bins in the Fellowship Hall.  The deadline date for contributions is July 20

If you're interested in volunteering, please fill out this form.  Volunteers will be coming from multiple churches.  Make sure you reserve your slot!   Please see any Homeless Ministry team member with questions or contact us at  This email address is being protected from spambots. I'm extremely blessed and grateful for all that I have learned as I grow steadily in the Word. The more we know His Word and the more we are in His Word, the better we can respond to darkness. I'm excited as I find myself becoming filled with light and being able to shine some of that light onto others. With God's grace and mercy, I continue to aim to be a doer and not just a hearer of the Word. I strive to do more than to just listen to sermons. I strive to be a sermon! :-)
