tn Homeless Outreach wide tOn October 20, we are inviting our church family to take part in an outreach event as we head to Franklin Square Park in DC to feed the homeless.  Ifyou're interested in helping, please complete our volunteer form.

We will leave immediately after the 11:00 a.m. service.  We are asking members to carpool - directions will be provided.  Franklin Square Park is between I and K Sts NW and 13th and 14th Sts NW.  You'll see our tables set up and shouldn't have any problems finding us.

We have volunteers who have agreed to help us prepare food, but we can always use more.  If you'd be interested in cooking, please let us know on our volunteer from.  We are asking members to contribute boxes of elbow macaroni and packages of frozen mixed vegetables to the meal. Containers for these items will be available in the Fellowship Hall on Sabbath, October 13.

There are  many other ways that you can help that day.  We will need volunteers to help us transport the food to the park, set-up, serve, feed, breakdown and clean-up.  We'll also need people to mingle with our guests while they are eating.  If you'd like, you can also contribute trash bags and cases of bottled waters - we'll do a bottled water give-away that day too.

We will feed ALL of our volunteers - once we've finished feeding our guests - so please don't worry about lunch.

We're looking forward to this outreach project and we hope to see many of your there.  You can contact Jenny Laquinte ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) or Tammy Francois if you have questions.  If you will be volunteering, we'd appreciate it if you would complete our volunteer form - completing the form will also help us make sure that we have enough food for you if you will be helping us.
