I am a mother of two, wife to one, and an abundantly blessed child of the King. My greatest desire is to live my life in a manner that points each one I meet to the God of my life who continues to amaze me, each and every day.

AthensFollowing up on the huge blessing of BABYLON VBS last summer, the MetroKidz team is happy to present “Athens VBS: Paul’s Dangerous Journey to Share the Truth” this summer from July 22 to July 26 (NOTE NEW DATES). Families step back in time at Athens, exploring some of the adventures the Apostle Paul faced. Kids and adults participate in a memorable Bible-times Marketplace, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into Bible-times snacks, visit Paul, and collect Bible Memory Makers to remind them of God’s Word. Plus, everyone learns to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes at Celebration—a time of upbeat worship that gets everyone involved.

babymonitorpicSo I've been awake now for the last hour and a half (it's 4:25 in the morning), watching my 7 1/2 month-old cry and fuss herself back to sleep.  She's at that exciting age where she's learning to crawl which means that at all ungodly hours of the night, instead of blissfully sleeping 9+ hours straight as she did just a few weeks ago, she wakes up.  She doesn't just wake up - she spends 40 to 60 minutes of my hard-earned hours of sleep thrashing, struggling, rolling, scootching around in her crib and crying angrily, keeping me awake.  While this is going on, I lay in bed clutching the video baby monitor, watching her and praying (literally) that she will go back to sleep!!!
