A Week of Prayer: March 18 - 24

Pastors Johns and Billingy have given us our marching orders - we are going to be praying more - much, much more - as a church family.  Starting now!

For the week of March 18 - 24, there is a list of prayer activities that each church member is asked to follow.  As we heard in service today, we have three steps to follow:  pray, wait for the Holy Spirit, and expect earnestly! (Phil 1:19-20)  We miss God answering our prayers, because we pray, but don't expect an answer!  So let's expect God to do marvelous things for our church family this week.

Here's the list of activities:

Sunday, March 18

Creative Communion

(pray without ceasing)

Say short “breath” prayers throughout the day

Monday, March 19

Personal Fast

Do some sort of fast (juice fast, fruits and vegetables fast, bread and water fast, etc.) throughout the day

Tuesday, March 20

Morning Manna

Join us for our early morning prayer and praise service – 6:00 a.m. at the church

Wednesday, March 21

Family Reunion

All of our prayer groups (adults, young adults, youth and children) will meet together for a corporate prayer and praise session – at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary

Thursday, March 22

Prayer Partners

Each member prays with another member (preferably not a family member) at least once during the day.

Friday, March 23

Watch Hour

Starting at sunset, spend an hour meditating on Jesus, and praying

Saturday, March 24

All Day Hangout

Plan to spend the entire day at church.  We’ll start with Sabbath School and move into our Communion service.  We want everyone to bring a snack for lunch, and if the weather permits, we’ll eat in our cars.  We encourage you to fellowship with each other during lunch by doing a car exchange – visit the cars next to yours and swap snacks.

After our snack break, we’ll return to the sanctuary for an afternoon prayer and praise session.  We’ll conclude the day with a family business meeting.

We look forward to hearing powerful testimonies of how God blessed during this week.  If you'd be interested in sharing your testimony with our church family, send me an email ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ).
