NCU Alumni Weekend - May 16 and 17  
The local Northern Caribbean University Alumni chapter invites to to attend their annual weekend celebrations.  There will be a vesper program on May 16, and all day events on May 17.  Click here to get all the details. 

Grenada Day - May 17  
The Grenada International Uplift Association invites you to their 11th annual Grenada Day celebrations.  Join them from 9:15 a.m. at the Takoma Middle School (7611 Piney Branch Ave, Silver Spring, MD).  Lunch will be served and a social is planned for 8:30 p.m.  FMI:  301-613-0814.

Fundraising Car Wash - May 18
Come out and support our Men's and Women's Ministries and Sister-to-Sister in their fundraising efforts for their Kenya mission trip this summer.  Get your car cleaned and help a worthy cause.  12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

G. E. Peters School
Classes will be held at the Judith P. Hoyer Early Childhood Center in Cheverly, MD for the duration of the semester.  Click here for complete details.

Bids are being solicited for work to reconstruct the roof and repair other damage sustained during the recent tornado.  Please call the school (301-853-6710) for details.  Submissions are due on May 12.

Tornado Causes Damage to G.E. Peters and Metro
A tornado struck G.E. Peters Elementary School on Sunday afternoon, April 20.  About one third of the school was badly damaged.  The remains of the roof of the damaged section of the school are in a pile of rubble scattered throughout the church's parking lot.  Some of the debris from the school struck the church and caused some minor damage.  We solicit your prayers and support for the school, teachers and students during this difficult time.
